Two mobile clinics to bring healthcare closer to the rural populations of the Oti plain

2025-04-24

In a move to strengthen access to healthcare for the most remote populations, ATBEF officially received two mobile clinics on Thursday, April 24, 2025. The donation was made by the Ministry of Agriculture, Village Hydraulics and Rural Development, through the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene, as part of the Projet d'Aménagement des Terres Agricoles de la plaine de l'Oti (PATA-OTI), financed by the West African Development Bank (BOAD).

These mobile clinics are much more than just vehicles: they represent a concrete, innovative solution to a persistent problem in many rural areas of Togo the inaccessibility of health services. From now on, people living in and around the Oti plain will be able to benefit from free medical consultations, particularly in the fields of sexual and reproductive health, maternal health and child health.
The arrival of these mobile units is a major step forward in the national strategy to improve health coverage, and reflects our determination to leave no one behind, especially the most vulnerable communities.
ATBEF, with its expertise and presence in the field, is committed to ensuring optimal use of these clinics, in collaboration with local authorities and community players, in order to guarantee local, respectful and inclusive care.
ATBEF, for a better life !
