Gender, equity and inclusion: ATBEF joins forces with MADT for fairer governance

2025-04-25

On Thursday April 24, 2025, the Association Togolaise pour le Bien-Être Familial (ATBEF) reaffirmed its commitment to gender equality by accompanying the Gender Unit of the Ministry of Land Planning and Development (MADT) in the launch of the Gender Action Plan 2025.

At the heart of this initiative, an awareness-raising session enabled the Ministry's agents to build their capacities on fundamental concepts such as transformative gender, positive masculinity, and anger management in the workplace. Thanks to the expertise of ATBEF's trainers, discussions helped to deconstruct stereotypes, promote equity and inclusion, and encourage better emotional management within teams.
A highlight of the day was the election of the Gender Ambassador 2025, a powerful symbol of MADT's commitment to fostering an inclusive organizational culture, where gender roles no longer hold back individual or collective potential.
This partnership illustrates ATBEF's strategy of supporting Togolese public institutions in their transition to more egalitarian modes of governance, respectful of human rights and sensitive to gender issues.
By combining political commitment and technical expertise, this collaboration marks an important step towards building a fairer administration, where every voice counts and every person has a place.
ATBEF, for a better life!
